The Simmons Hardware Company was a hardware manufacturer based in St. Louis with locations in six states founded in 1874. Liberty was a model name used by Simmons. The lantern tooling is by C.T. Ham, 1912-1914. However, I this is one of those assembled by Dietz after acquiring Ham in 1914. Note the winglock cone burner and the tube-wrap bail which were not Ham features. Unmarked Short globe equivalent to the Dietz D-lite in size . Brass 3/4 fuel cap . Condition - excellent, barn fresh condition. No major rusting or pitting present. Bright tinned bottom. Everything is free and operational. ** has not been oil tested **
