This pre civil war lantern features a slide out candle plate 
Hinged pin lockingdoor 
Circle cutout with a red lense
Window with 2 clear glass panels that slide in . 
Brass top with wristlet loop.

Condition - good 
Light pitting mostly on the top of the box.
Very little original black japanning left 
2 stress cracks in the brass top 
No heavy rusting or holes present.
Has been oil finished.
