Unique all brass lantern with an odd lid latch

These patents are assigned to John Henry Irwin (known for the invention of the tubular lantern)
This lantern takes a 6in Railroad style globe

Fount is a triple sangster clip , often associated with maritime pieces .

Condition  - excellent,  no cracks the frame , the fount does have some very thin hairline cracking which is common.

Patina is beautiful,  shelf ready !
