Excelsior's July 4th 1876 patent

This candle patent is commonly found in Excelsior lantern models , but this is the first stand alone candlestick finger loop light I've seen.

Basic construction candle spring loaded tube with a snuffer cap and base.
Will make for a good addition to your other rare Excelsior patent lanterns.

Condition - excellent, rust free clean smooth tin.
Brass lip at top can be straightened out a bit.
