Condition - brass is in excellent condition,  no cracks .
One enlarged hole in chimney near bail , possibly from an electric light at one time.
Fount is tin with brass callendar burner 
Skirt is engraved -
E.L.WELLS  LIEUT. REP. CONTINENTALS 1884 
Globe is marked EXCELSIOR which is rarely found marked.
Overall a great piece of history.
