Early removable globe design, the whole main cage and lower body are threaded together . Sliding burner access door is attributed to Clark's 1863 patent. Features a long stem Edward Miller marked burner , brass top , and sangster clip fount. Condition - for an 1870s lantern, it is in good condition. Light pitting and flash rust in places . No heavy rusting. Slight edge wear on the brass top. Sangster clips are soft , but still holds in fount. Fount looks good with no issues to hold oil. ** has not been oil tested **
